Work-life balance is incredibly important to me. About 10 years ago, I made a lifestyle change and started hiking extreme distances. I found hikes that forced me to exercise while at the same time raise money for incredible nonprofits. Two of my favorite nonprofits are the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Project Athena Foundation. In 2023, I’ll be joining the #VintageHikingGals as we take a two-day 50-mile hike in Sedona with the Project Athena Foundation, an amazing organization that helps survivors achieve their adventurous dreams.
Here’s a video from 2017 when the #VintageHikingGals hiked the Grand Canyon. It took me 16.5 hours to trek the 24ish miles, but I conquered the Grand Canyon. Last year we hiked the Zion Traverse together, hiking 45 miles in two days. And today, we started training for Sedona 2023. Here’s to another awesome adventure with the #VintageHikingGals – Becky Chasteen and Cheryl Moreno. And here’s to continued work-life balance.
